Aparelhos vão monitorar derramamento de óleo nos oceanos
O Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais (Inpe), com sede em São José dos Campos, no interior de SP, anunciou o desenvolvimento de satélites que vão monitorar o derramamento de óleos por embarcações na costa brasileira.
Segundo o Inpe, o último protocolo de intenções para desenvolver técnicas de inteligência artificial foi assinado junto ao Instituto de Pesquisas Tecnológicas (IPT) neste mês.
O projeto prevê o desenvolvimento de um sistema multiusuário de detecção, previsão e monitoramento de derrame de óleo no mar, chamado de ‘SisMOM’. Segundo o INPE, a iniciativa partiu após o episódio envolvendo o derrame de óleo no Nordeste brasileiro.
Atualmente, 16 instituições fazem parte dessa rede que vista o desenvolvimento do sistema.
